John Elway has gone down in the history books as one of the greatest quarter backs in the game of football. John Elway was born on June 28, 1960, in Port Angeles, Washington. Elway attended Stanford University, where he held NCAA Division I record for passing attempts and completions, and most games passed over 200 yards. John spent 4 years at Stanford and passed 9,349 yards and 77 touchdowns, earning him All American honors his Sr. year. He graduated with a degree in Economics in 1983.
John Elway was a part of the first round draft pick in 1983. Elway was drafted by the Colts and quickly traded to the Broncos, where he spent the next 16 seasons. His stats compare to no other. |
One of Elways records that has not yet been matched in the National Football League, is the passing of over 3,ooo yards and the rushing more than 200 yards in the same season. John not only led the Broncos to their first Supper Bowl win at Supper Bowl
XXXII, but did it again at Supper Bowl XXXIII. |

He also holds the record, with 47, fourth quarter comeback wins. Elway was voted into the NFL Hall
of Fame in 2004.
